In my competition blog section, I decided to post competitions information that might be of interest for those who are in middle - high school age. This is a very tough competition, because it is open to all instruments. The radio show FROM THE TOP is there, and you can also use your audition to apply to Tanglewood. The Montgomery Symphony gives up to two $6000 scholarships to AL residents who get into Tanglewood through the Blount-Slawson contest.
