Competition Result In!

Last Thursday, I received a call asking for my son. I thought it was from his school. I told her he hasn't bee home from school yet. The lady introduced her as a coordinator of the competition he entered the previous week. Since he wasn't home she told me that she had a good news for him. He was selected as one of the winners for this year! I was literally shaking with joy and excitement. I was so happy for him. He worked hard for this and it paid off. So he will get a scholarship for a music camp this summer and performance opportunity with the orchestra who sponsored this competition. He will have to keep up with his Mendelssohn since that's the piece he is going to play in October. They selected four winners this year. There were piano, french horn, harp and violin as winners. It is a nice mix of instruments. He will be able to play the piece with an orchestra for the first time. It will be awesome!
